BIBLE MEDITATION:
Romans 8:26 - “Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
There’s an old song with the refrain “Just keep on praying ‘til light breaks through.” When you don’t feel like praying, that’s when you need to. You need to pray until you do feel like praying. You see, you’re not praying by yourself. The Spirit is praying through you and for you, helping to present your petitions to the Father — petitions that perhaps you yourself are not even capable of expressing. Do not approach God with your hands full of the brass of your emotions. Rather, approach Him with hands and heart full of the sweet incense of His worth. Just keep praying.
ACTION POINT:
How’s your prayer life? Do you say grace before meals and squeeze in a quick prayer before you drop off to sleep each night? Take some time today to talk to the Lord.

Grace
Grace. Grace is the unmerited favor and kindness of God shown to one who does not deserve it and can never earn it. And, may I tell you somthing? If you are saved. Your going to be saved by Grace or your not going to be saved at all.

A Challenge for Fathers
Proverbs 14:26 - “In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and His children shall have a place of refuge.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
The devil hates families who worship together. He will allow parents to be religious, but he does not want them to take their children to heaven with them. As a result, we are losing an entire generation. Our children are being left behind to die and go to hell because we are compromising with Satan. Catherine Booth, wife of the founder of the Salvation Army, prayed, “Oh God, I will not stand before Thee without all my children.” There are many fathers and mothers today who need to say that. Stand firm, Mom. Stand firm, Dad. Gather those children close to you and love them to Jesus.
Are you a parent? Then, make a daily, weekly, or monthly date with your children to discuss their relationship with God. Why not start today?

What Jesus Wants To Do
Dear Christian Life Center Family,
One Sabbath Jesus attended the synagogue in Nazareth. Since he was a Rabbi -- a teacher -- custom dictated that he be invited to preach.
It just so happened on the day Jesus visited the synagogue in Nazareth, the reading was from Isaiah 61. This passage refers to a prophet (the Messiah) who is coming to Israel to do great things.
After Jesus read the words, he rolled up the scroll and sat down to speak, since it was the custom for teachers to teach sitting down. Luke says, "The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him..." (v. 21) This is how Jesus began his sermon. He said...
(v. 21) "Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."
This is an important passage of scripture because it tells us what Jesus came to do. It tells us what He was about -- what were His priorities, and what were His goals.
He mentions four things here -- four ministry priorities, so to speak -- and there's a pretty good chance that all four of these things apply to you, because all four of these things apply to everyone. These are the things Jesus came to do.
This Sunday we'll examine these four things and how they apply to us!
Come DISCOVER God and EXPERIENCE His power in LIFE-CHANGING ways this Sunday at Christian Life Center. I look forward to seeing you there.
God Bless,
Pastor Del Smith

God Is In Control
BIBLE MEDITATION:
Isaiah 41:13 - “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Once I had the rare opportunity of visiting with Corrie Ten Boom. I drank in her words. I listened and kept my mouth shut. One of her statements went straight to my heart: “There is no panic in heaven, only plans.” That is how God operates — no panic. Did you know the Holy Trinity never meets in an emergency session? God has never stepped down from His throne. Jesus has not left His right hand, and the Holy Spirit has not stopped interceding for you, His child. Refuse to listen to Satan’s lies of fear, discouragement, and despair. You are a victor. And God is in control!
ACTION POINT:
Repeat the following throughout the day today, “God is in control of my life. He will not leave me. His right hand will sustain me all the length of my days.”

It Is Not Ours to Ask "Why?"
BIBLE MEDITATION:
2 Samuel 22:31 - “As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all them that trust in Him.”
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
When bewilderment enshrouds you and despair looms at your door, when trials storm the beaches of your life, you may want to ask God, “Why? Why? Why?” Friend, you may never understand why things are happening the way they are in your life, but that’s not your job. You see, it is not necessary for you to know why. That is God’s question. Your response is all that matters. When we can’t feel His hand, we must trust His heart. Our job is to simply trust and obey.
ACTION POINT:
Is there something happening in your life for which you have no explanation, but long for answers? Ask God to give you peace and grace to trust Him.
